MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY STEAM TURBOGENERATOR SST-300, GENERATOR, SPEED REDUCER, CONDENSER AND AUXILIARY FOR DOMINION ENERGY.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Mechanical installation of new 18 MW Siemens gas turbines and the main equipment of the power island to make expansion of the Plant.

SCOPE OF PROJECT

  • Mechanical assembly of equipment supplied by Siemens.
  • Prefabrication and assembly of pipes and system accessories: steam and drainage, vacuum and condensate, control oil, lubricating oil.
  • The installed turbine was a Siemens model SST-300 turbogenerator, with an 18MW – 13.2 kV generator provided by Siemens and associated equipment.

ACTIVITIES

Installed equipment:

  • SST-300 condensing steam turbine.
  • 18MW generator.
  • Speed reducer (Gear Box) and couplings.
  • Condenser.
  • Flash tank.
  • Central lubrication and accessories.
  • Hydraulic control station.
  • Steam and drainage pipes.
  • Vacuum and condensate pipes.
  • Control oil pipes.
  • Lubricating oil pipes.

ACHIEVEMENTS

All assembly was carried out with high quality standards and daily following all the traceability of each of the processes involved in the project (manufacturing, installation, assembly and tests). The project was executed during six (06) months of work, where up to mechanical completion 25,000.00 HH were spent, highlighting that all these HH were without accidents.
