Andr\u00e9s Marcano <\/strong>&#8211; CEMENT SPECIALIST<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Las razones por las cuales se deben colocar tapones de cemento se pueden enmarcar dentro de cuatro (4) categor\u00edas:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong>Tapones de Desv\u00edo:<\/strong> Se recomienda usar lechadas de alta densidad entre 15-17.5 lpg, con 0% de agua libre, Sedimentaci\u00f3n cercana a cero lpg y alta resistencia a la compresi\u00f3n (mayor de 500 lppc), siempre mayor a la resistencia a la compresi\u00f3n de la formaci\u00f3n). <strong>Operacionalmente <\/strong>se recomiendan Tapones de 300 pies de longitud tomando en cuenta que se estima un 25% de su longitud contaminada en la parte superior y un 25% en su parte inferior.<\/li><li><strong>Tapones para Aislamiento de zonas:<\/strong> Se recomienda usar lechadas de baja densidad y viscosas para evitar perder el cemento hacia la formaci\u00f3n. <strong>Importante <\/strong>cubrir al menos 50 pies por encima y 50 pies por debajo la zona a aislar.<\/li><li><strong>Tapones para curar P\u00e9rdidas de circulaci\u00f3n:<\/strong> Se recomienda usar lechadas viscosas con una alta resistencia de gel, esto se logra con altas concentraciones de Controlador de Filtrado (Pol\u00edmeros), y Retardador seg\u00fan la temperatura de formaci\u00f3n y tiempo de la operaci\u00f3n, mas aditivos de LCM para restringir el flujo hacia Vugulares y\/o fracturas. Se recomienda bombear un preflujo de 10 Bbls con 10% de&nbsp; Cloruro de calcio seguido de 30 Bbls de silicato de sodio y luego el volumen de cemento que depender\u00e1 si la p\u00e9rdida es parcial o total.<\/li><li><strong>Tapones de Abandono de pozos<\/strong>, se recomienda usar lechadas de baja densidad y viscosas para evitar perder el cemento hacia la formaci\u00f3n. Se debe adaptar el programa de abandono a las exigencias de los organismos gubernamentales locales.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-social-links aligncenter is-layout-flex Andr\u00e9s Marcano <\/strong><\/strong>&#8211; CEMENT SPECIALIST<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The reasons why cement plugs should be pumped, can be divided within four (4) categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong>Deviated Plugs: <\/strong>It is recommended to use high density slurry between 15-17.5 PPG, with 0% free water, near zero ppg sedimentation and high compression resistance (greater than 500 PSI), always higher than compression resistance of formation). Operationally speaking 300 ft long plugs are recommended taking into account that it is estimated 25% of its contaminated length at the top and 25% at the bottom.<\/li><li><strong>Isolated cement plugs:<\/strong> Low density and low viscous slurry are recommended to avoid losing cement to formation. Important to cover at least 50 feet above and 50 feet below the zone to be isolated.<\/li><li><strong>Lost circulation plugs:<\/strong> It is recommended to use viscous slurry with a high gel resistance, this is achieved with high concentrations of Filter Controller (Polymers), and Retarder agents according to the formation temperature and operation time, plus LCM additives to reduce the flow to Vugulares and\/or fractures. It is recommended to pump a preflow of 10 Bbls with 10% calcium chloride followed by 30 bbls of sodium silicate and then the volume of cement that will depend on whether the loss is partial or total.<\/li><li><strong>Well abandonment plugs: <\/strong>It is recommended to use low density and viscous slurry to avoid losing cement towards formation. The abandonment drilling program should be adapted to meet of local government agencies.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-social-links aligncenter is-layout-flex
