MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY OF LM-6000 GAS TURBOGENERATOR AND MAIN EQUIPMENT – POWER ISLAND for YPF/A. EVANGELISTA S.A (AESA)
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Mechanical installation of two (2) new 50 MW General Electric gas turbines and the main equipment of the power island to make the expansion of the Plant.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Mechanical assembly and installation of all equipment. The installed turbines were a General Electric model LM-6000 turbogenerator, with a 50MW – 13.2 kV generator provided by General Electric. One turbogroup was installed in the town of Villa María – Córdoba and the other turbogroup was installed in the town of General Rojo – Buenos Aires.
ACTIVITIES
Installed equipment:
- Two (02) GE gas turbines model LM-6000.
- Two (02) 50MW Generators.
- Two (02) Speed Reducers (Gear Box) and couplings.
- Two (02) Central lubrication and accessories.
- Two (02) Generator Coolers.
- Two (02) skid’s of plant gas compressor.
ACHIEVEMENTS
All assembly was carried out with high quality standards and daily following traceability of each processes involved in the project (installation and assembly).
Both projects were executed in parallel in each of the localities during an execution time of three (03) months of work for the mechanical completion where 19,000.00 HH were spent, highlighting that all these HH were without accidents.
